Photoshop - Tips & Techniques

Returns this Winter 2012
Pointe Claire Cultural Centre
176 chemin Bord-du-Lac / Lakeshore Road
Pointe Claire, Quebec
This three hour, intensive evening workshop is designed for new digital photographers who wish to learn how to process and print their images, or conversely, send them over the internet, using a photo editing software - in this case Adobe Photoshop CS (versions 3, 4 or 5) or its sister software Photoshop Elements 8, 9 or 10.
Opening any image software can be intimidating at first. Twelve years ago, when I started using first Microsoft Photo Editor, then later Adobe Photoshop 5, my stunned reaction to all the choices was YIKES! ...where do I go from here!
In a step-by-step process, participants will learn how to open a new file, then adjust the brightness, colour and saturation of each image. Corrective tools and adjustments will be demonstrated, including the clone, healing and blur tools, dodging and burning, selective colour correction, adding borders and type, black & white conversion, plus a few special effects; before resizing, sharpening, and saving - the new and improved image, be it for emailing, use on the web (ex Facebook albums), or to print.
Adobe Photoshop CS (Creative Suite) and Adobe Photoshop Elements are an image editing software with unlimited possibilities for photographers, artists and creative persons alike. I hope you will attend this workshop to learn how to get started... on this wonderful adventure!
