I think it was a plot
by my parents. Give the lad a camera to keep him occupied… and
out of mischief! Mom claims she did it to develop my artistic talent.
Then Dad got in on the act. When I was 15, he let me use his beautifully
crafted, German-built, Voigtlander 35mm rangefinder. That was it - I
was smitten! Through the years my trusty camera has always been with me to capture the moment, whether I was 40 metres beneath the waves, traversing great continents, or gliding 10,000 metres above it all. Along the way fascinating people, exotic cultures and mystical lands have graced my films and enriched my life. Not long after my parents gave me that small Kodak Brownie Instamatic, I purchased my first 35mm SLR camera. Today my kit consists of several Nikon film and digital bodies and a wide range of Nikkor lenses. With my feet now planted firmly in the digital world, I still relish the look, feel and sharpness of Fuji Velvia and Provia films. While landscape, travel and portraiture photography are my forté, I also shoot a variety of other subjects including sports, nature, architecture and nightscapes. Constantly striving for perfection with a fresh approach and a different angle means trying new things, and learning new skills. In the last few years, at the invitation of various groups, I’ve been able to share my passion for travel and photography through slide show presentations. (see Presentations). Clicking on the galleries listed on your left will reveal a selection of images from these shows. A few have won awards, others have been published, and some are my personal favourites, shown here for the first time. All the photographs displayed are available for purchase - please contact me for details. This Web site was created for a variety of reasons. Crafted as a portfolio for potential clients and image banks, it allows me to satisfy frequent requests by the public to see more of my photographs. In the coming months I will expand this site with additional galleries and more images. Return often to discover what’s new! I hope you enjoy the journey. |

A few words of thanks…
And to my parents… thank you for your devotion, love and support through the years. I dedicate this site to you!
